This is the Buland Darwaza, located in Agra, India. Known as the 'Gate of Victory', it was built by the Mughal emperor, Akbar the Great, in 1602 to mark his conquest of Gujerat.
Akbar was well ahead of the curve. He inherited his throne as an illiterate boy at the tender age of 13, and yet his reign marked a Golden Age for India that, arguably, preceded that of Western monarchies of his time. He was a firm believer in the power of religious freedom.
The kufic inscription on the Gate reads:
"Jesus, Son of Mary (on whom be peace) said: The World is a Bridge, pass over it, but build no houses upon it. He who hopes for a day, may hope for eternity; but the World endures but an hour. Spend it in prayer, for the rest is unseen."

Wow ... of course. Because it is from the humble MAN himself, who does not wish to be credited in this world, but in the Hereafter :)
