Its been a while since I put up a music entry. A song that has been playing in my mind was "California" by the Phantom Planets. Moons ago, I remembered watching The O.C. just to catch this title track. In my 'dictionary', there is always place for a well-crafted, unapologetically pop-music :)"California" is a song from Phantom Planet's 2002 album, The Guest. The song is about driving on U.S. Route 101, travelling to see a concert. (Paradoxically, the 101's southern terminus is in Los Angeles; it does not reach Orange County :)
The first season's soundtrack for The O.C. is also pretty good. This song is a great driving-song. It has a 'freedom' feeling to it. Enjoy!
