This grave is situated on the outskirts of Makkah by the side of a highway - it is an isolated area, almost in the middle of nowhere. It's a starkly simple white wall which most people pass, not knowing who is buried there.
Sayyidatina Maimunah, the wife of the Prophet, became ill in Makkah and instead of being buried in the city, she insisted she be buried at this site. This was explained later to be the place where Sayyidatina Maimunah spent her wedding night with the Prophet.
Out of her intense love for the Prophet, she chose it to be her final resting place.

Beautiful in its simplicity and honesty, isn't it? :)
Subhanallah!
a love that's consummated in both world.....the longing to be together again.... she waits at the same spot for her love to take her Home as he took her hand in marriage once before.... one whos punch drunk in love can only see her lover......
The final resting place of once, true love: This is 'Visual Poetry' for all to ponder.
It is beautiful Hoopoe.
And they thought we Muslim are boring..but deep within we are very romantic.....The simple gesture is the most beautiful..enough...
We don't get this sort of stories these days.
I guess the test is to bring out these romantic stories to the fore and inculcate this spirit in ourselves as Muslims - then can others see the positive side to our character and personality.
