On Love

"Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say,
"God is in my heart," but rather,
" I am in the heart of God."

And think not you can direct the course of love,
For love, if it finds you worthy,
Directs your course"

... The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran

awwwwww..suweet..

my fave part from it is in 'on friendship':

When you part from your friend, you grieve not;

For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.

Salam,
there is a kind of sweet sadness as I read the last line:
"And think not YOU can direct the course of love,
For love, if it finds YOU worthy,
Directs your course"...

I hope I am worthy... T_T
May Allah direct my course towards "worthiness"...

Wallahu a'alam...
