Sunrise

On this lazy weekend afternoon stuck at work, the sheer simplicity of the beat and rhythm of Sunrise is refreshingly attractive, coupled with Norah's luscious voice being amplified through the minimal accompanying musical background really stands out for appreciation.

Sunrise is catchy, is soothing, is positive and is theraupetic. There's nothing much left to do but be absorbed in its sheer minimalistic beauty...

Salaam Hoopoe....

I am panting trying to catch up with you. But Norah Jones saves the day. Sunrise is my favourite. Love the music video too. I was at her concert few years back. She got the talented genes of her dad alright. Psssst....get the new album.

i love norah Jones. She introduced me to jazz. Yes, a bit late bloomer; but neva too late for a great genre. =P

faj,

If you like this sort of music (jazz), can I recommend you Lisa Ekdahl?

Whereas Norah Jones is kinda sultry, Lisa is sort of perky and her tunes are really catch. Try on You Tube and check out "Now or Never".

Let me know... Enjoy :)

if i could state a preference, would rather have a consistent flow of entry by entry than a gush of entries... which could lead to heart attack. consistency is good for health too :P

ur entries are lovely the way they are anyway! dun mind the overflow... thanx ustaz!

yerp..Norah's tunes are more blues-sy... go-to-bed and relax kinda tunes...

more upp-ity beats on my jazz list would be buble or dear sinatra..

jazz artists are always an accidental find at the HMV store for me. *hiakzz*

i'll go find Lisa on U-tube then. Will let u know. =)

Juz tuned in to now & never.. Nice...such a bubly, cheery, dancy, fun tune! Shall go look out for other songs of hers. (",)

She looks so sweetly pretty & young; her voice reminds me of renee olstead's! These young ladies have such wonderful voices.. =)

All hail jazz! ;o)
